Makkel Illam is a registered charitable home for all ages & races. Our home provides shelter, support and medical care to orphans, disabled people, old folks and hardcore poor in the vicinity. Our goals for the home are to:
Through this centre the disabled people, old folks and orphans can have a place that they can call home and where they are able to enjoy a better quality of life.
Our mission is simple - to provide care and assistance to the orphans, disabled people, old folks, destitute and the poor.
Among our main objectives are:
  • To provide shelter for the orphans, disabled people and old folks.
  • To provide medical care for orphans, disabled people and old folks in the home.
  • To provide counselling services for orphans, disabled people and old folks in the home.
  • To provide education services for the orphans, disabled people and poor.

About Us

Makkel IIlam, is a non-profit organization, was founded in JUNE 2009 by Mr. R.P. Ganasen, PJK, as a home to serve the orphans, disabled people and old folks.

We believe that each one of us can play an important role in being a blessing to others and testify to God’s grace.

It is managed by a charitable non-government organisation registered with the Registrar of Society, Malaysia.

Since our inception, we have offered social services that provide welfare assistance, shelter, counselling and education in a safe community environment.

Makkel Illam is registered as a social welfare home with the Registrar of Society, Malaysia and with the Social Welfare Department, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.

Working among the less privileged in our community, Makkel Illam helps promote welfare, provide food and shelter, provide education services and prevent child and women abuse. Other services include financial & welfare aid, birth certificate and national identity card applications, counselling, advice & medical support.

You are welcome to be an integral part of our organization by contributing either your personal time or by giving us monetary support. We would love for our well-wishers and like-minded individuals to visit our organization and observe the work we do. We always like to hear your feedback, suggestions etc. In addition, your visit will be a huge source of inspiration to the ashram residents, especially children, because it will definitely infuse confidence in their minds. Donating during festivals like Ramzan, Deepavali, Christmas, Easter etc. all of which are celebrated in the Ashram, without any communal disparity. (Donors are also encouraged to come and spend these festive occasions with the children and elders at the ashram whenever possible.)
